Speaker Problem ... HELP

I have installed Win Vista to my DV5230tx HP laptop. Intitially the proper
drivers would not install but this has been resolved, but now I only have
sound via my headset and nothing comes out from the speakers.

When I plug in and pull out the headset Jack I get a split second of sound
from the speakers, but I cant get them to work properly.

The speakers were working fine prior to Vista. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Hi,

Try right-clicking on the volume icon on the lower right side of your screen
and then click playback devices. Click "Speakers" and check if the device is
enabled, if not, enable it and then set it as the default device.
