Spayware

I installed Alexa "pop ups ads blocker" not knowing it is a spyware, and the ads pop ups got worse - it only blocks a couple out of 5-8 pop-ups. So I uninstalled, but it could not be uninstalled. I manually removed all Alexa related items including the registry. But the file "Alexa Internet" keeps coming back in the registry when I launch IE and it multiplies related items. Any suggestions? I really appreciate anyone who could help getting rid of this spyware. Thanks.

Adaware from Lavasoft has caused me problems. Go to CNET
for advice. See Sybot, Spysubtract and AdSubtract. All
basic ones are freeware. I use Spysubtract (free) and
AdSubtract Pro (advanced), and they do a good job for me
(XP, IE6).
