This just started happening to me a couple days ago.
Running IE 6, Windows XP Home. Whenever IE is instructed
to open a new browser window from within a webpage, a
spawned or child window, the new window hangs open
indefinitely. If I press STOP and then REFRESH, the page
appears, but any other windows where those buttons are
not visible can only be closed.
I have a current disinfection by NAV and have run SpyBot
with the most recent updates, to no avail. I have
applied all available patches from windowsupdate and re-
applied XP SP1, yet this problem persists. Any
suggestions?
Thanks,
Dave
