Have two sata drives on PC-both formattted NTFS and both converted to dymanic

in disk management BUT when I right click on either drive "new volume " is
greyed-out

Can anybody help me?

You can create dynamic volumes from FREE space on the dynamic disks
(once you convert the basic disks to dynamic disks). Did you create any
dynamic disks and do you currently have free (unallocated) space on your
dynamic disks?

Start -> Help and Support -> search on "change basic dynamic disk".

Everything on your basic disk is lost when you convert it to a dynamic
disk. The OS uses a database to manage the dynamic volumes. Because of
these facts, you can't have the OS in a dynamic volume since obviously
you need to first load the OS to support the dynamic volume(s). See
