Spanish Headers in Messenger

I know this is in an XP Forum, but I didn't get a
reply from the Messenger posting today. here's
the original post:

When I signed into Messenger, the "Contacts" and
all of my groups NOW have headings that are in
Spanish. (Exasmple: "Amigos" replaced "Friends",
"Familiares" replaced "Family", and so forth). I use
the program infrequently, but I do know that the
last time I used it, it was in English.

I have looked in the "Options>Preferences" tab to no
avail. I am running version 4.7.

If I uninstall, then reinstall, will I lose all of my
preference and contact information that is stored
locally on my hard drive?

I am very computer literate, so you can get as
technical as you want...

Thanks
Mack

I had your same problem. I found the solution.

A friend of mine used my pc and isntalled the chinese version of MSN.

So in your case you just need to reisntall the english version of MSN
messenger.

No inf or file switch or user configuration was used to make spanish show up.
