re enable a blocked e-mail so that I can reenstate that e-
mail from a friend?

Hello David,

I'm right there with you...I get about 100 junk mails daily.

There are a few things you can do:

1. Change your current e-mail address...you just have to talk to your ISP
about that or if you are using a web mail account, just abandon it.

2. If you can not change your e-mail, you can use the "Message Rules"
function on Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, etc...

I use Outlook Express, and I set up 3 rules in the following order:

Exceptions Rule: This is for the people's e-mail adresses I don't know, but
I want to allow them through. (ie. I want 'Telus' (my ISP) e-mails to come
through, so I just type "Telus" in the criteria. The result is to "Stop
Processing More Rules".

Delete Non-Contacts: This is a list of the people's e-mails that I know. If
the incoming e-mail does not match any of the e-mails on this list, then the
e-mail is "Deleted From The Server".

Delete Inappropriate Subjects: This will send e-mails with inappropriate
subjects to the deleted items folder for me to review.

I have been using these rules for several months now. I have only had 2
spam e-mails come through (it was because they triggered the exception
rule...but it was sent to the deleted items folder anyway).

Take a look at the message rules on your e-mail program and see if you can
set up some rules. If you use a web based email (hotmail, yahoo, etc...)
then you are out of luck.

Hope this helps!

Francis
