[SPAM] appears in the subject of every incoming email

I bought my wife a new laptop running Windows Vista Home running Windows Mail
6.0.. Every single incoming mail has [SPAM] in the subject and I can't seem
to find the toggle to make it stop..

Anybody else have this or know how to fix it?

It's probably done via your antivirus or firewall software. Got any Norton
products running?
Do you know what your antivirus program is?
 
McAfee was the culprit..Thank you all for the timely responses..
