Spam and Out of office email

If I set my email to automatically send an out of office
reply, am I also confirming to all spammers that I
received their message and as a result get even more spam?

most spammers will have a false address, therefore you should be getting
many delivery failure notices. Other than that its a confirmation of yr
address.

By default, the Out of Office Assistant does not reply to external
addresses. This is, of course, controllable by the Exchange admins.

However, it is rare indeed for SPAM to come from a real address. Typically,
responses to those mesasges simply bounce, so my opinion is that you don't
risk much.
