SPAM and ADULT Content Filter

In my research, I found in the Microsoft Knowledge Base
that you are unable to modify filter.txt that contains all
the items that are searched for to identify both spam and
adult content. Therefore, I have two questions:

How do I remove one thing that is one the list? A person
has the last name of "Friend" so all their messages are
detected with the automatic rule.

Second, is there any way to add a phrase, not a person or
domain, to the list?

I'm not familar with the filter you speak of. If it
doesn't apply to emails before the rules, then a good
workaround is to add "Friend" to your exception list and
make sure Exception List is at the top.

The built in exception list also excludes emails from
scanning by the Adult & Junk mail rules, but not other
rules. If that causes misses, create a "New Exception
List" that simply states apply when received, if sender is
on list then stop processing more rules.

Second, you can create a rule to find phrases in the
subject, body subject & body, etc., and do all kinds of
actions to it. One thing to remember is the Stop Further
Processing action so Outlook doesn't waste time beating
a "deleted horse".
