Space Bar

When I try t manually indent a line in a paragraph, Word 2007 will only let
me use the tab button, which is too much. No matter how many times I hit the
space bar the cursor doesn't move. It only does it in certain locations as
well, not every where in the document.

If you are trying to indent a line that is not the first line in a
paragraph, then you will need to end the previous line with a line break
(Ctrl+Shift+Enter); otherwise, spaces just pile up at the end of the line
(if you will turn on display of nonprinting characters, you'll see a row of
dots representing the spaces left over from your previous attempts).

If you want every line of a paragraph after the first indented, use a
hanging indent.
