trying to download the service pack 4 through a dial up
connection...it says the server keeps resetting itself and
starts from 1 point and goes backwards..any suggestions..i
have to have this download in order to download the patch
for the blaster worm

You might want to order the CD. It's really too big for a dialup download.
Took me over 2 hrs on a 128 KB ISDN connection.

I suggest it is cause, millions of people around the world
are trying to access the Microsoft site at present. The
http servers MS use vfor downloads are being
overwhelmed /locking-up with the traffic. On a dial-up
line this "service" delay will be worse, hence loss
of "session" with server you are experiencing.

Only advise is to either wait another week or so until
traffic load decrease, get a broadband connection (high
speed) or purchase the SP4 upgrade from MS on a CD....sorry
