SP4 - IE6 Downloads no longer work

Anyone found a solution to the problem of downloads no
longer working within IE after installing SP4? Using a
download manager like NetVampire still works.
I have reported to Microsoft but had no response to date.
Maybe I should count myself lucky this is the only problem
I have had.....

Well I fixed my problem. Uninstalling Norton Antivirus and
Symantec Desktop Firewall has resolved the problem.
