Big Al, please be aware depending on OP NG reader they may not be able to
search NG.

If 'just' setup OE then it will only download first 300 headers, depending
on popularity of NG unless they downloaded all messages may not find
anything...

Would like to add... be wary of SP3 issues ... if pc from OEM and have AMD
processor they may have used an Intel image to name one of the issues.

I was referring to, but did not say, groups.google. Its great for
searching articles. Someone had to point me there. I should have
included it in my suggestion to bill.

Two points:

1. I don't have any problem with anyone not searching the newsgroups,
and asking a question that's been asked before, even asked before many
times. Not everybody know how to search newsgroups.

2. That said, *everyone* has the ability to search the newsgroups.
That's true whether you use Outlook Express, some other newsreader, or
the awful web-based interface, and regardless of how you configure
your newsreader. That's because, far and away the best way to search
the newsgroups is using googlegroups advanced group search at
http://groups.google.com/advanced_search?q=&
