There are so many updates in the past few months ... can someone tell me ...
is there a cetain point where they just call it " SP3" rather than SP2 and
60 updates ? It's getting tough to keep up with them all and would be nice
if they'd just pick a point in time - say Sept 1, 2006 ( a little old to
know that " I already have all those and no issues) and then would be easier
to track when in add/remove I'd just see SP2 and the latest.

It's called Windows Vista

Wrong. SP3 will be out late next year. Windows Vista is called the End of
Microsoft.

Late NEXT year ?
BTW I am testing Vista (and NAV2007) and I just restored a disk image from
June 06. I have it set to " Notify but do not install". For XP I had 33
updates to install. That's in addition to those already on there. 33 since
June. So by " late next year" it should be up to 200 'updates' to SP2 ?? and
that's not even me looking at the optional ones.

SP3 has been pushed back to 2008.

Is there a site where all of the XP-SP2 fixes & updates are available?
I'm planning to purchase a new system and want to start clean & would
like to find a site where I can download all the updates, put them on
a dvd to install them without having to go through the update site.
