is the link to the SP3.exe download.
It will never change so yes you can reuse it over and over when
reloading. But if you are reloading a lot, they I would google for
"slipstream xp" and read up on that. In a nut shell, you can upgrade
your XP cd to SP3 prior to installation so you don't have to do it post
installation. With n-lite you can also insert drivers for your
specific hardware making the install almost seamless. Give it a
read. It might be up your alley.

Other patches:

Each month Microsoft puts out that months patches in an ISO format for
burning to DVD:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913086 (Back to 2006)

You can see the critical (security and other) patches released for a given
month using the following:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms##-***.mspx

At the end of this line you see "ms##-***.mspx" .. If you simply replace ##
with the two-digit year and the *** with the three character month
abbreviation, you will see the list of "critical" and "important" patches
for that month (since it only happens once a month usually, if you check by
the second Tuesday (wait until afternoon) of each month - you should be
fine) - note that future months will not work.

As an example...

December 2004's patches..
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms04-dec.mspx

March 2005's patches..
None released.. so that one will fail...

May 2006's patches..
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms06-may.mspx

January 2007's patches..
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms07-jan.mspx

April 2008's patches..
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms08-apr.mspx

There's at least one third party tool that will download all of them for
you:

Come back - let everyone know if that is what you wanted/needed.

If you think you are going to install it regularly (suppose you look
after 1000 computers, and they are all on SP2) then you can download an
ISO image, burn it to a CD, and install from the CD as often as you like.

I only planned to do it once, but my network was being unreliable.
Rather than attempting to install it via the network, I downloaded the
ISO image (restarting the download as necessary) then installed it from
the CD that I burned.

If you're anywhere near Alton, Hampshire, England, you can have my CD.
This approach sometimes works. The last person who offered to help me
turned out to live less than a mile away.

Slipstream SP3 into your Windows setup CD so you'll have SP3 already
integrated when you install from the setup CD.
