SP3 and Optical Mouse problem

I installed SP3 on my laptop and now my wireless mouse crashes the system.
If I boot up with the mouse stick in the USB port, it crashes immediately.
Something about adressing non-accessible memory. If I start it without the
mouse, everything is fine, except i have to use the mousepad. If i plug the
mouse in after startup, it crashes the system immediately. I tried upgrading
the mouse drivers, but that didn't help. I tried plugging the mouse into
another computer and it works fine. I tried a jump drive in the USB port and
the port works fine. Any suggestions? I was thinking about reinstalling SP3
again but I'm afraid it might screw something else up and I won't be able to
use the computer at all.

Thanks

I have been seeing 'cross talk' issues with wireless mice and routers. if
this applies to you, consider shielding the mouse radio signal from the
router signal. Putting some grounded object between them will form a Faraday
Cage effect to block radio interference.
