SP3 and 4 Problem with W2k Lost connect to Network

R

Ruth

When I loaded SP3 (back in Aug 2002) I lost my connection
to the network. The Workstation service will not start
(service specific error 2250). I also have an Event ID
3113 (cannot join the domain). I'm working with a
workgroup at home so there is no domain. Can't change the
workgroup until the network starts, can't start the
network without the workstation service. You see my
problem.
there was a fix for this problem listed with a patch --
for XP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I used to be able
to print from an XP laptop but this stopped recently
(unknown reason).
Thanks,
Ruth
