SP2 vs SP1

Is SP2 cumulative? In other words, is everything that
was included in SP1 also included in SP2. I am thinking
of of using the recovery disks to put my computer back to
the state it was when bought, and am wondering whether I
would need to download both SP1 and SP2, or if SP2 by
itself is enough. Thanks.

Yes, SP2 is cumulative, so SP1 is not needed first.

Yes, SP2 is cumulative through the release date.

SP2 is total, including those items of SP1 that have seen no further
change. Get the SP2 ready in advance, either the full 266MB download,
or get one of the free CDs. These are now coming out on magazine cover
disks, are available at Customer Service in some stores such as Staples,
or can be ordered free from

The delivery time in practice seems to be under a week
