SP2 update failed on install

My OS is Windows XP Home Edition
While installing SP2 from Windows Update the installation was almost
complete but failed, although my computer now shows that it has SP2 running.
It shows up in my Review updates list as failed.
How do I get SP2 to completely install-
 
not sure if your problem
is related to having 2 firewalls
as you mentioned in your
recent post.

however, you can try installing
sp2 via safemode.

download the sp2 file into
a directory where you can find
it. the location is provided
in the kb below.

afterwards, you should
slipstream sp2 with your
windows onto a cd, because
your windows cd ver sp1
or lesser cannot repair
windows with sp2:
