Hi All,

I am running XP-pro, sp1 in a virtual window (Parallels for Linux).
The hard drive allocated is what is needed plus 200 MB (it grows
and shrinks dynamically).

Problem: SP2 needs 500 Meg plus to install and only see 200 MB
free. Is there a switch I can throw that tells SP2's installer not
to look for available memory?

Many thanks,

I don't know of any switches for SP2 that will do what you want and I
haven't used Parallels, but page 184 of the user guide describes how to
modify an existing hard drive image using Image Tool. It looks like you need
to convert your "expanding hard disk image" to a "plain hard disk image",
install SP2 and convert back. It also looks like it creates a copy during
this process so you'll need enough free space for the conversion. Hope this
helps.
