SP2 - slowing down internet

This is not a case of me being paranoid or derogatory - SP2 is DEFINITELY
slowly down my cable internet connection. it's as though IE is talking to
the site first, hanging, then quickly displaying the screen. but i'm
talking a 2 - 3 second interval for every page. it won't just skip right to
the next page i'm browsing. VERY ANNOYING.

and i lost my system restore point with SP2, so even though I made two
checkpoints, they're gone.

Unistall SP2 then. System Restore should ONLY be used as a last resort,
before formatting and reinstalling.

Yes, in add/remove programs, as long as you didn't delete the backup files.
