SP2 - slow running computer

A friend of mine has recently loaded SP2 onto her Win XP machine. She says
that since doing so the computer is running VERY slow. The computer is
networked. There were no "speed" problems before SP2 (SP1 was on the
machine). Any help to sort out this problem would be appreciated.

btw...I have SP2 on my computer with absolutely no problems whatsoever.

She is probably seeing some spyware damage. I would do an Upgrade setup, and reinstall sp2 later.
If you run an XP "Upgrade"setup, from the original, or "Gold" version of the setup CD, and you have SP2 installed, it might go into
a setup loop, and you could lose your install. Uninstall SP2, BEFORE you Upgrade setup from CD (that lacks sp2 on it.)

Thanks Mark - she set a system restore b4 SP2 and will get her to go back to
that first, then do some "spyware" checks in safe mode with system restore
turned off.........
followed by Repair install.
