SP2 & Norton

I have installed SP2 & the "red shield" in
the "notification area" keeps telling me that
my "computer may be at risk" at the "Security Center"
the "recommendations" are "make sure your installed anti-
virus program is up to date & turned on" WHICH IT IS! How
do I tell the thing that it is?? Or do I just simply
check the box & tell it I'll do it manually?

AFAIK, Norton is not updating to use that feature on versions 2003 and
older.
Click the box and do it yourself.
Norton is still fully functional.

Download the updated LiveUpdate module from Symantec and it will update WMI
and AV would be compatible with SP2's security check.

On the left click on 'Change the way SC advises me', and tell it not to
comment about AV. It depends on the AV program sending a message to say
'All is present and correct', and some do not - indeed when I upgraded
to the latest version of eTrust from the previous one, it stopped
telling me. As long as a check you make of the program says it is OK
there is no need to bother with Security Center

symantec is supposed to have patches for that within the week , the
antivirus still works fine , just the security center can't identify it
properly

Symantec has already addressed this. SP2 detects NAV 2004 just fine. Run
liveupdate to get the fix.
