Does anyone know why, in my administrator account the messenger version is
6.2, but in the user account however, the messenger version is 4.7? As I
understand it, I need version 6.2 to allow for file transfers under sp2. So
why is 4.7 the limited user account's version? Thanks for any help.

Greetings Shawn,

Actually you've always had both -- Windows XP comes with Windows Messenger 4.7 and you've
installed MSN Messenger 6.2 separately. They both will be able to everyone by clicking the
necessary icon.

If you need to make the icon on your own, they can be found here:
Windows Messenger -- \Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe
MSN Messenger -- \Program Files\MSN Messenger\msnmsgr.exe
