SP2 'install' seems hanging 3/4 done ??

Had to re-install XP, that went well. Came to Windows Update to custom
download and install SP2.
Download took an hour. Now the 'install' seems to be hanging about 3/4
of the way done ?! Wizard box says " Finishing installation" the blue
bar is 3/4 across.
I'm still seeing hard drive light blinking, cursor hour glass comes and
goes, and it's been an Hour since I accepted the license ?! 6:22pm -
it's now 7:20pm ?

Is this normal ??

Same thing happened to me a few months ago, you just have to keep waiting.
Might take an hour and a half to finish.
