SP2 Install Error

Install Failed - System event viewer states:

Windows XP Service Pack 2 installation failed.
Access is denied. Ev ID 4373

....and...

Windows XP Service Pack 2 installation failed, leaving Windows XP partially
updated.
Service Pack 2 installation did not complete. Ev ID 4374


....and on reinstall attempt ...


Windows XP Service Pack 2 installation failed.
An internal error occurred. EV ID 4373


Any sugesstions?

Please repost with information about your computer. Is it an OEM
machine? Home-built? Specs? XP Pro or Home? How much room on the hard
drive? Legal copy of XP?
