Hi guys
I downloaded SP2 for my 2 networked computers and after reading all the
instructions decided to install SP2 seperately onto each.
With system #1and a SATA HD drive I had only a slight reboot problem which
somehow solved itself after the 3rd reboot and the system is running fine.It
just seems a little slower on the start up and that darn firewall gets turned on
everytime I reboot.Whereby I use ZA and do not need or want XP's firewall. How do
I keep it off????
On System #1 SP2 somehow screwed up the hal file as well as the boot loader. The
recovery console with its "fixmbr" "fixboot" did not in any way help. When the
system rebooted it could not find the EIDE HD and asked me to insert a system
disk.
any help on this problem??

Could be SP2 and RAID needs a clean install,i have a striped configuration
that ran great for a week, then had youre problem.Mine was upgraded from
SP1.SP2 is far from being ready,if running microsoft only products and on
IDE hds,its fairly straight forward and ready for consumer use.3rd party
software and/or RAID,its going to be awhile for everyone to catch-up.

No problems here with RAID boot.
