SP2/Anti Virus Issue

I upgraded my cumputer to SP2 a month or so back with no problems. However my
anti virus software (Trend Micro Office Scan Corporate Eddition) has just
been changed to the latest engine and pattern which has caused my computer
to be very slow on start up/initialisation. I changed back to SP1 and have no
problems with the new anti virus software. I am assuming the problem has
somthing to do with the new security settings on SP2.

Can anyone advise what I would need to change to overcome the problem
bearing in mind my knowledge of computers is very basic.

It may not be your computer at all! Maybe Trend hasn't updated to be fully
compatible with SP2?

Have you checked the Trend website for any discussion groups yet?

I have checked the Trend Micro website and they are claiming to be fully
compatible with SP2 which is why I thought it must just be settings that
require change.
 
I am using Xp home edition with SP 2 and Trend Micro scan engine 7.10 with
no problems.

With sp2 installed disable security monitor in control pannel HTH
