SP2 and Windows Media player

Anyone else run into this?

I have my computer set up to make DVDs from my camcorder. Before I
upgraded to SP2 the mpg files that I make from my camcorder would play in
windows media player. Now that I upgraded to SP2 windows media player will
play the sound but just a black screen for a picture. I am still able to
play the mpgs with realplayer just can not play them with windows media.

Anyone have a way to get windows media to work again? I tried from a fresh
install of XP with SP1 and could play till I upgraded to SP2. I also tried
a fresh clean install with intergated SP2 then it would never play
correctly in windows media.

you also need to update the windows media player after
you have installed the SP2..........for some reason that
is one of the software that turns off when you run the
service pack 2

And when you update to version 10 it continues telling you to update after
it is completed.
