SP2 and P2P Programs

Hi,

I have been using Warez P2P for a month and the thing has
been out of this world. Downloading everything I have
thrown at it......then Service Pack 2 came along.

Ever since I installed this the thing doesn't download
anything. It wont even load the little advert in the
right hand corner of the window.

I have enabled the program in the Windows Firewall but no
joy. I even disabled the Windows firewall, but no joy. I
always used to use Norton Personal Firewall with no
problems to Warez P2P.

Anyone have any ideas????

SP2 now limits concurrent TCP connections to 10. You should receive a
warning from the OS if this limit is exceeded, and there should be an
error (4xxx) in Event Viewer. there is a fix for this floating around.
Google: SP2 connection fix. SP2 also limits connections to loopback to
127.0.0.1. This breaks anything that needs connection to any other 127
address which were available in SP1. There is a private fix, KB884020
that will fix this. This breaks Citrix Metaframe, don't know about P2P
apps.

You're going to need to adjust the security settings in MSIE.
