Hello All,
I am aware that there were some compatibilty problems for HP Pavilion
computers installing XP service pack 1 (system recovery and some other more
specific problems I think). Have those problems been eliminated in SP 2? I
never upgraded to SP1, but I am planning to do the SP 2 upgrade now.
Any other HP specific problems for SP2?

TIA,
Tom

Check the HP website for any tips or software updates you may need for your
model HP. I have a a320n and had no problems with SP2.

I checked the HP website and could not find anything like this for SP2, but
since it was there in SP1 I am a wondering if it has been taken care of or
if I just had not found the right place in the HP website. Making large
changes to an operating system always makes me leery. (I've been burned
before.)

What model HP do you have?

Thanks,
I had not seen one of those pages before, but I had seen the other or a
similar one.

On the driver update page there is a keyboard driver listed for the 522n
that says "Multimedia Keyboard Driver" and says that it fixes problems on
"Media Center PCs". Are all 522n computers Media Center PCs, or are the
Media Centers a special type of the 522n? Also, my keyboard looks like one
you could call "Multimedia" in that it has buttons for playing cds, dvds and
mp3s, but the keyboard does not have a label that identifies it as
"Multimedia".

Using the control panel to get more information on the keyboard, under
Keyboard Properties, I find that my keyboard is called "HP PS2 Keyboard
(2K-3)". There is no mention there of "Multimedia".
