How do I download SP1a and save it to my second hard drive. I found it in Windows Support but it only leads to putting in Windows update and it is SP1 instead of SP1a thank you for any help Sterling

I am running SP and have to say I think it is great. It is a Release
Candidate and is not the Final release.

If you want the complete thing, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/default.asp

and get the 'Network' download on the right (nearly 130MB).

SP1a is the same as SP1 except that the Java Virtual machine is left
out, because of a Court ruling in the dispute over Java with Sun
