Unable to finish the full install of xp sp1 due to lack
of disk space but now still short of disk space,where
does the set up archive to and how do i remove all the
sp1 setup files

Hi Darran,

Set folder options/view tab to see hidden and system files/folders. Then
look for a long oddly-named folder on the root. While you're at it, clear
local and system temp folders as well as the Temporary Internet Files.
Usually, incomplete downloads will be dumped anyways, so there may be
nothing for you to delete.
