Download this "Refresh for SP1" from MS download center Security Updates.
Ignore the directions as they are for the installation of SP1 not this
"refresh." YOU DO NOT NEED TO UNINSTALL SP1!
After downloading extract the contents of the file to some place like
Download, right-click on the .cmd file and Run as Administrator.
After your done run Windows Update and you will find (or should) an
important security update of 4.1 MB in size. (I had tried installing this
security update when it was first released, but it kept telling me that is
was not for my system).
It seems the the SP1 RC was "interfering" some how with the install. Works
fine now through WU.
Update that WU will install: Windows Vista KB938371-v1.025
