I installed Windows XP SP 2. After restarting I got an error report and
then/now a blank desktop. I have now taskbar, no start button, no right
click...

Please point me in the right direction..

Try to start Windows in the Safe Mode. If this works, uninstall the SP
from here (Control Panel > Add and remove Programs). If this does not
work, you may have to reinstall Windows.
