SP 2 install

SP 2 seems to have downlaoded and installed & XP starts as far as account log
in and then crashes, stuck in this loop. I've used System restore to get it
runniong again but I think the systeme is stilol pretty unstable - it
corrupted Spybot. Any suggestions? My compoute manufactuer [Mesh] warn
against SP2 with a 64 bit processor
