I'm running XP in English, but now live in german part of
switzerland. I have a CDR from a computer mag but this is
in germam. can I use it ?

The language of your OS install rarely determines what you can and cannot
install, it only determines how you OS looks in terms of the language shown
in the menus and such.

Install whatever you like. German, English, Italian, French, whatever...
