Source Safe 6.0 database size

We are using MS VSS 6.0 and the database size is 4.2GB. Is it true that when
the VSS db passes the 4-5GB threshold there is a greater possibility of data
corruption?

Would you recommend to separate the Projects in the db to reduce its size?

You might want to ask this question in an SQL newsgroup. This newsgroup is
dedicated to MS Access and Access can't handle more than 2GB.
