Source object changes won't save

I have a report with 12 subreports each referencing a
different table. When I open the report subreports 7, 9,
10, and 11 contain the same source object as subreport
1. I make the change to correct this and save the
report. When I re-open the report the source objects are
reverted back to the incorrect ones. I've tried compact
and repair as well as re-installing Office 2000.

I got the change to stay on Friday from another PC.
However, this morning when the DB was opened the source
objects were incorrect again.

I opened it on yet another PC and went immediately to the
main report's design view. The source objects were still
wrong. I closed the DB and re-opened it, but instead went
to the report preview and the information displayed
correctly. I printed the reports at that time just to get
them for the department supervisor. I when back to design
view and it was corrupt again.

Can anyone help?

I've got our corporate developers stumped.

Thanks.

I suspect the operation of the Name Autocorrect misfeature. Open the
database, click Tools -> Options..., go to the General tab, and un-check
"Track name Autocorrect info".
