I have FrontPage 2003, I noticed that the source code is missing the information giving the browsers the html information (version, ect). Why is this? Or, am I doing something incorrect. Also, does it have to be hand coded to be xhtml compliant? I am familiar with Macromedia Dreamweaver, where you just hit a button "make xhtml compliant" or something. I can't seem to locate this in FrontPage. My next guess is maybe it comes through on the style sheet? I thought this was a necessary item, perhaps not?

It's in a code built-in snippet, if you wish to use it (The DOCTYPE
declaration, that is).

I'm glad we were able to help, good luck with it. I like the code snippet
thing a lot. it's not as "big" as the one in notetab from www.fookes.com
but it'll do since it's built into the editor.
Jim Cheshire www.jimcoaddins.com made a very nice snippet viewer
application.
