will the source code leakage in windows 2000 will or can affect the security of Windows XP Professional operating system because windows XP is based on Windows 2000 operating system

While plausible, it's unlikely. The stolen code represents only
a very small fraction of the entire source code. However, it has
not been revealed just what portions of code were in the part that
was stolen.

Not likely. It's already like a sieve as it is, those few lines of code
won't make it any worse.
