Is there a generic driver for its sound chips, other than the one from Asus?

I disabled mine and got a PCI sound card.

I got sick of trying different drivers.
I still had clicks and pops, the EAX implementation
wasn't very good, and for music playback, there was
no way to disable reverberation added by the driver.

Not cheap... esp the X-Fi series.
I still had clicks and pops,

Didn't happen to my Asus M2N-E.

Not using it. I spend most time hearing songs and music.

I noticed there is a checkbox to disable all effects in the sound panel
(using 64-bit Vi$ta now). I didn't hear any echoes with XP as well.

What driver version are you using- I can't get Sound Max control panel
to install on Vista 64 (the driver installs, but I'm using the Windows
sound properties)? Did you do anything other than download and execute
the program?

Thanks,

Disabled reverberation in soundmax driver

Hi there,

I had the same problem with annoying reverberation. My setup is headphones, which I set in the Soundmax control panel. But this is as far as I can see what is causing the reverberation. So I changed the output to front speakers, and now the reverberation has gone. (I'm still using headphones.) This has worked for me, and is cheaper than buying a new sound card.

Soundmax driver version : 5.10.1.6310
Motherboard: P5KE

Best regards Light
