Hi

There is no XP drivers for your sound card
I would suggest you to buy a new sound card that is XP compatible
Sound Blaster audigy series is a good choice, around $60.- up with a Firewire 1394 port, 24 bit 5.1 surround, SPDIF
Another one is Sound Blaster Live 5.1 , around $30.-
Go to creative.com to have a look

Actually XP supports the SBAWE32 natively without needing to install
drivers. Obviously there are drivers for it (in fact, I pulled out the MS
drivers and use them on a W2K3 Server machine with a SBAWE32 card), just
none you can download from Creative.

As to why the original poster's card doesn't work - well I'd guess that
either it has failed or that the needed resources for it to operate are
not available. The latter could probably be corrected by fiddling with
the PnP and IRQ settings in the BIOS.

Everybody is confusing the OP. He does have the AWE32 working correctly!
He just can not using the Gameport, which happens to use the standard
Microsoft Gameport drivers anyway.

Microsoft has palnned to stop supporting the Gameports.
