I recently just lost all sound on my computer..The speakers are humming but I
can get no sound at all. Any troubleshooting tips would be great.

I am getting the same active mixer devices not available that some other
users have found. I have tried a couple of fixes that were suggested on here
but no luck. Has anyone found anything that works for this.

Yes. Installing a mixer...the software - NOT just drivers - that came with
your sound card.

Well even if he doesn't, and it's just built into the MB, he can still
download some updated drivers for it.

do you have any exclamation marks in your hardware list under devices in
control panel ?

Have you checked all your wires and connections to ensure they are plugged
in correctly and firmly.

Also - especially if you had sound previously which means you also had a
mixer - go to...

Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Services

....and assure that Windows Audio is both running and set to run
automatically.

You shut up, your post is not helping, just starting a side arguement.
either lend a helping hand or butt out.

Go back and read the origination of this post. You jumped in the middle and
