sound

Hi maxkia,

Did you assemble your computer? Did you attach an Audio Cable from the
DVD to the Motherboard?

are you playing the music CD's in the DVD player, or another CDrom drive?

There is a cable that connects the optical (DVD or CD)drive to the sound
card, or directly
to the motherboard, depending on the computer.

Have you ever had sound from the DVD player?

Was the DVD recently installed? If so you probably don't have the sound
cable
connected.

Can someone help me? The sound just disappears from my PC - I don't know why
but when I check the control panel/settings it shows the sound as being on
even though it isn't. If I run the restore disks that will resolve it but
then I loose too much information and it's such a hassle reloading all my
software. My granddaughter uses MSM and downloads music and watches videos on
the net. If I knew what was causing this problem I might be able to prevent
it. Any ideas for how I can get sound back?

It would have better if you had posted this as a new post.

Do you mean sometimes you have sound and sometimes not?

Are you speakers AC powered or battery?

Check all connections, from the AC plug to speaker and computer cables
associated with your sound system

Always look for the easiest and simple solutions first
