just purchase a dell laptop and there is no sound on computer. I would like
to listen to music and play and hear dvd. How do I install sound? Using
windows xp.
 
It should work right out of the box but you may have to enable the onboard
speaker system, try headphones and see it they work. If they don't call
Dell. Make sure they are not muted.

If this is a new computer contact dell tech support. It should work
right out of the box.
