Sound Recording Problem

I am trying to record sound via a microphone. When I go to Start/All
Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/...... No Sound Recorder Button.... as
shown in the XP Windows help files. I have tried serveral things, through the
control panel, to correct the problem. No luck yet! Any idea's or helpful
hints would be appricated greatly.

Make sure that Sound Recorder is installed.
