Sound question

I've been working on a powerpoint presentation for my US history class.
I've encountered a problem and I can't figure out how to solve it. I'm
hoping someone will be able to tell me what to do.
I want to insert songs into the presentation. I've downloaded them off the
Internet and stored them in "My Music". I've copied the file and placed it
in a folder called "History of Rock and Roll" Inside the History of Rock
and Roll folder, there are two folders "media" which has pictures and "Rock"
which has the songs. My powerpoint presentation is in the folder as well.
I insert the song into the slide but when I try to play it, no sound. BTW
I'm running Windows XP and I've got Office 2000.
I've also tried using the "my music" copy--then it will play here at home.
I copied the presentaion and music folder onto a CD, brought it to school
and.....no music. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Put the presentation and the music files in the same folder. So, based on
the setup you described below, I think you need to put the presentation in
the "rock" folder along with your music files. Then reinsert the music.

http://www.echosvoice.com/gotchas.htm (the sound advice link) has some quick
info on this as well.
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00155.htm has additional information
