Sound problems - no real stereo?

Hi,

I have a little problem. I have XP HE, SP 2, and a soundblaster 128 pci with
tow speakers and a subwoofer.
While listening music I can set the balance to the right and then I hear
nothing in the audio settings about the little speaker near the pc-clock.
Also I have a CD with two different voices on every single stereo channel,
but I can hear just one voice all the time. But if I listen to music it
seems, that the sound is stereo and I can hear it over both speakers.

Sub-woofer might be connected improperly.

No, it is correctly connected. I can hear it.

No, it is correctly connected. I can hear it.
Is there any setting, that could be responsible?
