I "lost" ability to play Midi files- .wav still works fine. This happened suddenly for no apparent reason. All "troubleshooting" shows nothing to do. Even updated drivers for sound card- no help. All computer says is that "devices are working properly" any ideas???

I imagine that you have checked the Volume Control to ensure that Midi
has not become muted then how about:

Assuming that you have the installation CD. Remove your card from Device
manager and power down. Then actually remove your sound card and re-
insert it. Reboot and let Windows find the 'new' hardware and re-install
using the CD. Most soundcard problems.

Good luck!

Charlie.
